Operating drilling equipment safely and as per company procedures, maintaining drilling parameters as per the drilling plan and under the supervision of tool pusher, observing the well and operating well control equipment in emergency situations, supervising the crew and assigning tasks for assistant driller, derrickman and floorhands, monitoring well conditions; pressure tracking and safety rules, daily equipment checks and conducting safety drills to ensure people are ready to act in any emergency situations such as kick, blowout, equipment failures, emergency evacuation and controlling the well. Ensuring the tools and machines are properly maintaining and ready to use. In addition the making of detailed report of daily progress, equipment used, downhole conditions, and report this to supervisors.
