Supervision and Coordination: Directs and coordinates the activities of drilling, construction, or extraction workers, including setting up and operating power units, delivering supplies, and managing the mud system. Ensures the crew is properly trained and equipped to perform their tasks safely and efficiently. Works closely with the Rig Manager and other personnel to ensure smooth operations. Safety and Compliance: Enforces strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures. Ensures that all safety equipment and devices are in good working order. Familiar with well control procedures and can operate BOP and diverter systems. Implements and monitors established operational procedures. Operational Management: Monitors drilling progress and adjusts plans as needed to meet project timelines. Ensures that the drilling rig and associated equipment are properly maintained and operational. Manages the inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Liaises with the client's representative on site regarding contract management and interpretation. Personnel Management: Provides training and mentorship to junior staff and new team members. Handles personnel issues and ensures a positive work environment. May need to address performance concerns or disciplinary actions. Technical Expertise: Has a strong understanding of drilling equipment and techniques. Familiar with the functionality of blowout preventers, rig components, and mud circulation systems. May need experience with cyber drilling or specific drilling methods. Reporting and Communication: Reports on the progress of drilling activities to the client and other relevant personnel. Maintains accurate records and reports. Communicates effectively with all levels of personnel on the rig site.

Leadership & Management: Leading, motivating, and delegating tasks to a drilling crew, maintaining morale under pressure, and ensuring smooth operations.
