Operate the coiled tubing unit, including injector head, reel, control cabin, and related systems, ensuring smooth and precise insertion and retrieval of the tubing in the well. Monitor all operational parameters during the job, including pressure, flow rate, tubing weight, speed of deployment and retrieval, and other critical metrics to maintain safe and efficient operations. Coordinate pumping operations with the pumps crew, managing flow rates, fluid types, and volumes according to the specific job requirements. Inspect all coiled tubing equipment, such as injector chains, gripper blocks, reels, hoses, and pressure control devices, before, during, and after operations to ensure proper function and identify maintenance needs. Apply all safety procedures and HSE protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), pressure control systems, and emergency procedures, to minimize risk to personnel and equipment. Troubleshoot operational issues such as tubing lock-up, differential sticking, excessive drag, pressure fluctuations, and equipment malfunctions, taking corrective actions promptly to maintain job continuity. Maintain clear communication with the supervisor, rig crew, and other field personnel, providing updates on operational status, potential hazards, and job progress. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of coiled tubing and related equipment to extend operational life and prevent damage. Assist in training new operators or crew members on coiled tubing procedures, safety practices, and equipment handling. Maintain accurate logs and reports of operations, including pressures, fluid volumes, operational times, and any anomalies encountered. Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on coiled tubing equipment to ensure readiness for upcoming jobs.
