Roles and Responsibilities
• Implemented the organization’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies in alignment with legal, client, and corporate requirements. • Promote occupational health and safety within the organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working. • Conducted routine workplace inspections and proactively worked to ensure HSE objectives were consistently met. can you right them briefly in 5 points • Assisted in accident and incident investigations, performed risk assessments, and followed up on corrective and preventive actions. • Prepared HSE reports, safety bulletins, and communication materials to keep personnel informed and engaged. • Identified workplace hazards, recommended preventive actions, and provided on-site coaching to reinforce safe work practices. • Ensure that personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, footwear and safety helmets, is being used in workplaces according to regulations. • Delivered regular safety training, toolbox talks, and induction programs for employees and contractors. • Participated in internal and external HSE audits to maintain compliance and continuous improvement. • Develop and implement emergency plans, identify, and train emergency response teams, and communicate team details to all employees. • Lead and control safe evacuations during emergencies. • Conduct training sessions for coordinators, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation. • Assist in coordination of emergency procedures, mine rescues, firefighting and first aid crews, if/where required. • Provide logistics and follow the schedules of HSE activities: training, internal and external audit, internal / external inspection, HSE Management Review, etc. • Reviewed safety plans, work procedures, and related documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with HSE standards. • Support shutdown and turnaround (TAR) activities by coordinating HSE controls, verifying lifting plans, and conducting toolbox briefings. • Manage fire prevention systems and conduct regular maintenance of portable fire extinguishers and firefighting installations.
