Roles and Responsibilities
Enforce Aramco safety policies and the site CSSP/CSM — ensure all site work follows the Contractor Site Safety Program (CSSP) and Construction Safety Manual (CSM). 2. Conduct daily site inspections — identify unsafe conditions or acts, issue corrective actions, and follow up until closed. 3. Perform job risk assessments / JSA and permit verification — review Job Safety Analyses, confirm required Work Permits (hot work, confined space, excavation, etc.) are valid before work starts. 4. Monitor PPE, tools, equipment, and specialized controls — verify use/condition of PPE, scaffold/tower inspections, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and other engineering controls. 5. Lead incident/near-miss reporting and investigations — secure the scene, collect facts, support root-cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions and lessons learned are implemented. 6. Deliver toolbox talks, inductions & competency checks — provide daily/weekly briefings, site inductions for newcomers, and verify workers’ certifications per SSMS/CSM requirements. 7. Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and Aramco representatives — act as the safety interface between crafts, subcontractors, project supervision and Aramco HSE leads. 8. Control permits for high-risk activities & supervise simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) — ensure risk controls for overlapping activities are in place and stop work when controls are insufficient.
Additional Skills/Certification
Othm Level 6 in occupational health and safety. Nebosh IGC (2015) BOSIT & H2S First Aid & BLS ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
