Roles and Responsibilities
1. Preparation and Planning Before the well is handed over, you need to go through the well test program to understand what is expected. Make sure all equipment like the test separator, choke manifold, flare line, and data recorders are in good working condition and ready to be used. 2. Equipment Setup and Handover You move to the site, rig up your equipment, and connect everything properly — from the wellhead to the choke manifold, separator, and flare line. After that, the well is officially handed over to the testing team. This includes sharing key information about the well’s condition, pressures, and what the team needs to monitor. 3. Testing and Monitoring The test itself is carried out in stages — usually including a clean-up phase, flow periods, and shut-in (build-up) periods. During these times, you collect important data and samples (oil, gas, water) and track everything with a data acquisition system. Safety is a top priority here,
