working directly on the rig floor under the supervision of the Driller. The main responsibility of a floorman is to support drilling operations by handling drill pipes and casing during lifting and tripping operations. This includes making up and breaking out pipe connections using rig floor tools such as tongs, slips, and elevators. The floorman assists in preparing and organizing the rig floor, ensuring all equipment is properly positioned and maintained. He is responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe, reducing hazards and supporting efficient operations. The role also involves performing basic maintenance and cleaning of drilling equipment as directed. Strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures is essential, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and participation in safety meetings and drills. The position requires strong physical endurance, the ability to work long shifts in demanding offshore conditions, and effective teamwork.
