Roles and Responsibilities
The HSE Supervisor/ Advisor accountability and responsibility is a key element of our health and safety framework. To set a positive example to others and encourage participation in HSE initiatives and observation/intervention process. Develop and build positive working relationships with the client HSE professional to benefit contractual relationships. Ensure the Fire and Safety Plan are maintained and up to date. Advise Rig Superintendent where updates are required To attend all safety, Pre-Tour and Pre-job meetings on tour and off tour as required to ensure a high standard is maintained. Follow up any action plan or outstanding audit points till completion. Carry out new visitors inductions and explain clearly the actions in the event of emergency and alarm signal Support the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) process by training and mentoring personnel. Be familiar with and apply the core values, policies and procedures of the Company. Reports directly to the Rig Superintendent to support the day-to-day HSE management and long-range stewardship of the drilling unit. Demonstrate and lead by example the requirement to implement the CME IMS systems and processes/ Accompany and assist marine surveyors during safety / fire equipment inspections, i.e. DNV, ABS, etc. Ensure Fire and Safety equipment meet minimum SOLAS requirements to ensure compliance with safety equipment certification. Take on the appropriate role in the installation Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and in Company Procedures. To maintain a visible HSE presence in conjunction with the Rig Superintendent on the Rig through regular daily worksite tours and auditing activities. Develop a close working relationship with supervision, rig management and workforce and mentors were required to raise understanding of HSE issues and implementation at the worksite. Lead, facilitate and/or take part in incident investigation process where required and ensure Company standards is adhered to and root causes analysis is conducted to determine root causes.
