Instrumentation Technician, I assisted senior technicians and engineers in the installation, testing, and commissioning of field instruments used in industrial process plants. My responsibilities included supporting the installation and wiring of pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments as per approved drawings and site standards. I participated in cable glanding, tray routing, junction box termination, and basic field wiring activities. I assisted in instrument calibration activities using standard tools under supervision and supported loop checking and PLC/DCS signal verification to ensure accurate communication between field instruments and control systems. I also helped in testing control valves and identifying basic faults during troubleshooting activities. Additionally, I learned to read and understand P&ID diagrams, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings to perform installation and testing tasks correctly. I supported pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including punch list clearance and documentation assistance. I worked closely with electrical, mechanical, and control teams to ensure smooth execution of site activities. Throughout all tasks, I strictly followed safety regulations, quality procedures, and housekeeping standards. This role helped me gain hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and practical exposure to industrial instrumentation systems while developing teamwork and communication skills.
