As a Maintenance Instrument Technician, I am responsible for the installation, calibration, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems to ensure accurate and reliable plant operations. My duties include maintaining field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and gauges in accordance with standard procedures. I perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems to minimize downtime and ensure process safety. I diagnose faults in control loops, PLC/DCS systems, and associated wiring, and take appropriate corrective actions. Calibration of instruments using standard calibration tools and documentation of calibration records are key responsibilities of my role. I strictly follow safety rules, permit systems, and standard operating procedures while working in hazardous and controlled areas. I coordinate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to plan maintenance activities and support smooth plant operations. Maintaining maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts inventory is also part of my responsibility.
