Safety Training & Induction Conduct rig safety induction for all new employees, contractors, and visitors Deliver HSE orientation as per company and client requirements Ensure personnel understand Life Saving Rules, PTW system, and emergency procedures. 2. Training Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain annual safety training plans Schedule mandatory safety courses (H2S, BOSIET, First Aid, Fire Fighting, Working at Height, Confined Space, etc.) Coordinate refresher training before certificate expiry. 3. Toolbox Talks & Safety Meetings Plan and conduct daily/weekly toolbox talks Assist supervisors in preparing job-specific safety talks Ensure attendance records are maintained. 4. Competency & Certification Control Maintain training matrix and competency records Track validity of safety certificates (OPITO, NEBOSH, First Aid, H2S, etc.) Ensure only competent and certified personnel are allowed to work on rig. 5. Emergency Response Training Organize and conduct emergency drills: Fire H2S release Man overboard Medical emergency Well control drills (if applicable) Evaluate drill performance and prepare drill reports. 6. Safety Awareness Programs Promote safety campaigns (STOP cards, Near Miss reporting, Safety alerts) Prepare and display safety posters, banners, and bulletins Encourage safety culture and workforce engagement. 7. Incident & Training Evaluation Support HSE team in incident investigation by identifying training gaps Analyze training effectiveness and recommend improvements Maintain training assessment and feedback records. 8. Compliance with HSE Standards Ensure compliance with: Company HSE policies Client HSE requirements Local regulations ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards Assist in HSE audits and inspections related to training. 9. Documentation & Reporting Maintain training records, attendance sheets, and certificates Prepare monthly training reports for rig management Update training database regularly. 10. Coordination & Communication Liaise with: Rig Manager / Toolpusher HSE Advisor Third-party training providers Communicate training requirements to all departments.
