Roles and Responsibilities
Conducting Pre-Tour, Pre-Job and Weekly Safety Meetings with the crew and third party crew on location and discussing the hazards associated the work amongst the crew. • Conducting safety inductions / orientations to all visitors and new comers. • Participating in daily supervisory meetings, discussing 24 hours plan ahead of the day and review of previous day activities & any lesson learnt. • Conducting and participating in Pre-spud and Rig Move Meetings (in rig move daily conducting morning meeting with the rig move truck pushers, crane & forklift operators, Riggers and drivers, where discussing the daily plan of the rig move, rigging & lifting activities, tandem lifting critical lifting plans are in place, ensure lifting gears certified inspected and ready for the use, sketches for crane position are in place), review to the approved rig move road with the truck pushers and drivers, review of road hazards assessment and drivers prompt card with the truck pushers and truck drivers. • Preparing and sending Daily, Weekly, Monthly Safety reports and HSE statistics to the HSE Supervisor and on site Client representative. • Making sure the Permit to Work System being fully implemented as Per Company and client requirements. Also conducting the audit of PTW and Isolation system and highlighting the deficiencies to the crew and teach the crew how to prepare the PTW and Isolation system properly. Specially make sure use of combined JSA for the activities on location where both rig and 3rd party are involved in the activity like cementing, running casing etc. • Emergency Drills in Coordination with Client requirements and as per HSE Plan requirement. • Conducting HSE Inspections (H2S & Multiple gas Detectors on daily basis, Camp & Hygiene inspection with Medic on weekly basis, Safety Equipments e.g. Safety harness & Lanyards, Emergency Showers and Eye wash stations and fall arrestors, Climb assist Device, Derrick Escape Device, Tripods and their winces, Spill kits, Hazardous Waste Collection Area etc.) • Review of the weekly & crane, monthly Drop inspections checklist conducted by Drilling, mechanical & electrical departments on regular basis for the drop prevention and correction of the deficiencies mentioned in the report. • Working on annual Drop inspection, fall protection equipments inspections and their overhauling from 3rd party like (Derrick Escape device, fall arrestor, climb assist system, tripod and rescue winches as per OEM recommendations), Fire extinguishers annual inspections. • Review of the fall protection survey and updating the survey in case of changes on the rig site and implementation of the corrective action recommended in the survey. • Preparing of the specific well site ERP and general rig ERP for any emergency and posting of ERP and emergency contact number of all concerned persons on the main rig areas.
