Support top management in defining HSE guidelines and integrating them into company operations. Promote a strong safety culture through initiatives, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement. 2. Risk Management and Assessments Conduct hazard identifications, risk assessments, and job safety analyses (JSAs). Monitor workplace risks, approve controls for hazards, and ensure mitigation measures are effective. Oversee environmental aspects like waste management, emissions, and spill prevention. 3. Compliance and Auditing Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations. Plan and conduct internal/external audits, inspections, and site walkthroughs. Liaise with regulatory agencies, represent the company in HSE forums, and manage reporting/submissions. 4. Incident Investigation and Emergency Response Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and incidents; perform root-cause analysis (e.g., using Tripod Beta). Develop corrective/preventive actions and track implementation. Prepare and test emergency response plans, coordinate drills (e.g., fire, evacuation, H2S in oil & gas). 5. Training and Competence Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and management. Ensure competency assessments, inductions, and refresher courses. Coach supervisors on safety leadership. 6. Leadership and Team Management Supervise junior HSE staff, contractors, or site teams. Manage HSE budgets, resources, and KPIs (e.g., incident rates, audit scores). Drive continuous improvement and sustainability efforts. 7. Reporting and Documentation Prepare HSE reports, dashboards, and trend analyses for management. Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and compliance.
