Provides adequate HSE Supervision, coverage, and oversight on Subcontractors’ work operations in assigned areas on the Port Harcourt Rehabilitation Project involving Construction, Precommissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up activities. ▪ Implement the company’s HSE Policies and Procedures for attainment of organizational objectives and goals. ▪ Propagates Tecnimont’s “SAFETHINK RULES FOR LIFE” Campaign and strengthens brand promotion. ▪ Ensure that all work activities are carried out in line with approved procedures as laid down by Tecnimont through active interventions and corrections. ▪ Issuance of Permit to Work to Subcontractors and collaborating in work preparation processes, advising and ensuring additional controls are in place before execution till close out of activities. ▪ Monitoring and Supervision of Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) and Co-Activities. ▪ Participates in carrying out scheduled HSE Inspections and Site Walkthrough for Hazard Identification and Control. ▪ Real time PTW Sampling Audits ▪ Ensure that all records, reports, registers required are updated, maintained. ▪ Ensures compliance with safe work systems for work activities including permit to work, STARRT/Toolbox meetings, last minute risk assessment (LMRA) JHA, etc. ▪ Supports the management of environmental issues and waste management. ▪ Investigates and report incidents for correction and prevention from recurrence. ▪ Participates in the preparation of JHA/Risk Assessment on each operation. ▪ Conduct periodic emergency drills to identify and correct lapses in the emergency response Plan/Procedure (ERP). Issuance, revalidation and management of required PTW Process for daily job/task and enforcement for total compliance on Site. ▪ Coordinates and delivers HSE Trainings/Inductions. ▪ Conduct Safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational and environmental health and safety requirements. ▪ Evaluate work procedures and environment to identify potential hazards and develop site-specific and adequate internal control systems and safety initiatives to correct deficiencies identified by audits and statutory requirements. ▪ Facilitates investigation of incidents, to determine root/immediate causes for prevention and develop processes and procedures to prevent similar and/or repeat occurrences. ▪ Subject Matter Expert for HSE Trainings, learning and development programs.
