I am an HSE Officer in Drilling Operations, responsible for ensuring safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant drilling activities. My role includes implementing and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements on the rig site. I conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to prevent accidents and unsafe conditions. I monitor daily drilling operations to ensure compliance with safety rules, safe work practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). I deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training to drilling crews and contractors. I also carry out regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. In addition, I investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures. My environmental responsibilities include waste management, spill prevention, and environmental protection during drilling activities. I coordinate emergency response plans and drills, and liaise with rig management, contractors, and regulatory authorities to promote a strong safety culture and ensure incident-free drilling operations.
