Supervise day-to-day drilling operations on the rig and ensure the drilling program is followed. Act as the company representative on the rig, coordinating between rig crew, service companies, and office. Ensure safe operations: enforce HSE rules, conduct toolbox talks, stop unsafe work. Monitor drilling parameters (ROP, WOB, RPM, mud properties) and optimize performance. Ensure well control readiness: BOP status, kick detection, drills, and response. Oversee execution of critical operations (spudding, casing, cementing, tripping, logging, testing). Verify equipment readiness and proper use; report defects and operational risks. Review daily reports, time sheets, and ensure accurate reporting of operations and incidents. Manage non-productive time (NPT) and implement corrective actions. Support training and competency of drilling crew and junior staff. Coordinate logistics, materials, and services to avoid delays. Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and permits.
