I am a nurse working as a Rig Medic, responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and medical readiness of all employees in a remote working environment. My role includes conducting Weekly Health Talks to promote health awareness, disease prevention, and safe working behavior among employees. I perform daily medical check-ups during both day and night shifts to monitor employees’ physical conditions, identify early signs of illness, and ensure they are fit to perform their duties safely. In addition, I carry out weekly hygiene inspections to maintain proper sanitation standards in living quarters, work areas, kitchens, and sanitation facilities, aiming to prevent communicable diseases. I am also responsible for preparing weekly medicine usage reports and clinic visit reports, ensuring accurate documentation and proper inventory control of medical supplies. My duties include conducting weekly inspections of ambulances, responder bags, and first aid boxes to ensure all emergency equipment is complete, functional, and ready for immediate use at any time. I also conduct regular training sessions on Basic Life Support (BLS), first aid, and emergency response to improve employees’ preparedness in handling medical emergencies. Furthermore, I provide promotive and curative healthcare services, including health education, early treatment, and follow-up care. I ensure that all employees are medically fit before starting work, especially in high-risk operations. I also collaborate with external clinics and healthcare providers for referrals, advanced medical management, and continuity of care when necessary. Through these responsibilities, I contribute to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
