Extended-reach horizontal wells. HPHT deep wells. Managed pressure drilling (MPD) and PMCD. Wildcat exploration wells. Multi-lateral wells and smart completions. Handling well problems (stuck pipe, loss of circulation, wellbore instability, well control, H2S release, etc.). Effective Leadership of challenging drilling projects. Well control expert. Fast learner of new procedures and technologies. Risk assessment and MOC. HSE and well control audits. Training team members and junior engineers. Simultaneous operations (SIMOPS). Contractor management. Well planning and technical support. Tender/contract management. Supervise and oversee all operations performed on Saudi Aramco wells. Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered. Ensure the contractor meets all requirements of the contract. Ensure that contractor rigs and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime. Ensure that Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards are met including equipment configuration, testing and crew response. Assure that rig and personnel comply with Saudi Aramco established safety standards and procedures. Monitor and troubleshoot drilling operations, identifying and resolving wellbore issues. Collaborate with drilling engineers and other disciplines for seamless project execution.
