Roles and Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor the vessel’s integrated safety management systems (ISMS). • Lead safety inductions for all new onboard personnel. • Conduct risk assessments and facilitate toolbox talks in coordination with vessel leadership. • Promote proactive hazard identification by encouraging crew to report unsafe acts and conditions. • Develop and deliver HSE training materials to enhance safety awareness. • Conduct shipboard inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed. Champion a positive HSE culture and ensure continuous safety improvements. • Coach personnel on HSE policies and Shelf Drilling’s HSEMS. • Monitor application of Safety Conversations, TOFS, PTW, and Energy Isolation. • Facilitate job safety analysis and post-task debriefs. • Conduct audits and support implementation of rig safety goals and KPIs.
