As a Drilling Supervisor, I ensure that all drilling, completion, and well intervention activities are executed in full compliance with the approved drilling program, company standards, API regulations, and local authority requirements. I supervise day-to-day rig operations and confirm that all activities, including drilling, tripping, casing running, cementing, BOP testing, and well control operations, are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved procedures. Any deviation from the approved program is technically reviewed, risk-assessed, and approved through the proper management of change (MOC) process. I continuously monitor real-time operational parameters such as weight on bit, rotary speed, torque, standpipe pressure, pump rates, mud properties, and equivalent circulating density to maintain well integrity and optimize drilling performance. I ensure effective well control by verifying BOP readiness, kick detection practices, and crew competency in well control procedures. Abnormal conditions such as kicks, losses, stuck pipe, wellbore instability, or equipment failures are immediately addressed using approved contingency plans. I strictly enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements by conducting toolbox talks, job safety analyses, and permit-to-work reviews. I ensure full compliance with PPE usage, isolation procedures, and lockout/tagout systems. I maintain accurate daily drilling reports, operational logs, and cost control records. I coordinate closely with drilling engineers, service companies, and rig crews while maintaining clear communication and respecting the chain of command. I safeguard company assets, ensure confidentiality of technical data, and promote a strong safety culture to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant drilling operations.
