Key Roles & Responsibilities: Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Systematically find potential dangers in processes, equipment, and work environments, including analyzing machinery, chemicals, and ergonomics. Safety Program Development: Create, implement, and manage comprehensive safety policies, emergency response plans, and safety manuals. Engineering Controls: Apply engineering knowledge to design and install safety features, protective systems, and inherently safer processes. Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, MOHRE) through regular inspections, audits, and reporting. Training & Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees on procedures, equipment use (PPE), and emergency protocols. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and injuries to find root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaboration: Work with management, project teams, HR, and other engineers to integrate safety into all project phases and foster a strong safety culture. Stay Current: Research and stay updated on new safety technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes.
