Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE induction briefings for all new crew members and visitors, ensuring a clear understanding of the MODU's specific safety protocols, emergency procedures, and critical hazard areas. • Coach employees & 3rd party personnel on safe work practices on board the respective Rig. • Monitor and implement environmental legal requirements/regulation to ensure the rig is following health, safety and environmental laws, standards, and regulations of governmental agencies. • Managed all aspects of rig waste management (black water, grey water, bilge, garbage segregation) ensuring 100% compliance with MARPOL and local regulations. • Maintain environmental documentation and records as required by regulation to support permit compliance and other requirements. • Conducts investigation of all accidents and near-misses and prepare flash reports, incident reports as per company accident/incident reporting and investigation policies. Also collect evidence, Witness Statement, and conduct Interviews. • Managing KPIs and demonstrate your analytical skills and ability to drive organizational performance. • Closely monitor high risk activities like confined space entry, gas testing, pressure testing heavy lifting activities, work at height, and hot works etc. • Conduct frequent hazards hunt and share the findings with concern departments for corrective actions. • Coach people in planning work, identifying risks, communicating, problem solving, and safety leadership. • Actively participate in safety, departmental, pre-tour, client meeting, weekly safety meeting, etc • Prepare closure reports for all internal and external audit findings and addressing audit findings. • Responsible for coordination and recording of all onboard safety training and e-learning for all personnel. • Participate and assist in development and training of emergency response teams as per Station Bill. • Ensure that approved rig operating procedures are always adhered to. Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor. • Conduct visual inspection of the H2S equipment & BA system to ensure that this essential equipment is in working condition 24/7. Report any defects/issues to H2S Technician (if assigned) or to person responsible. • Provide support as necessary to enhance safe helicopter take-off and landing on board the rig. if no other person is available as trained HLO onboard. • Maintain files and prepare required electronic and written reports/risk statistics including weekly, monthly, annual and environment reports and other related reports so that management can plan accordingly. • Perform other duties as assigned by OIM or HSE department to ensure that flow of work is continuous and adequate relief is provided.
