Roles and Responsibilities
Contractor Management: Ensure that contractors and subcontractors adhere to HSE standards and requirements while working on the rig. HSE Reporting: Maintain accurate records of HSE performance indicators, such as incident rates, near misses, and safety observations, and report them to relevant onshore team. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all safety-critical equipment is properly maintained inspected according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ensure that appropriate PPE is provided and used correctly by all personnel to mitigate workplace hazards. Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication regarding HSE matters among all levels of personnel, including management, supervisors, and frontline workers. Safe Work Practices: Promote and enforce safe work practices, including permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space entry protocols. Hazardous Materials Management: Safely handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials used in rig operations, such as drilling fluids, chemicals, and waste products, radioactive & explosive materials. Provide training on chemical safety and emergency response procedures in the event of spills or exposures. HSE Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure HSE performance on the rig, such as incident rates, near miss reporting, safety observations, and environmental compliance. Use performance metrics to identify trends, assess performance, and d rive continuous improvement initiatives. Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of FFA, LSA and facilities to identify and rectify safety hazards. Environmental Protection: Implement measures to minimize the environmental impact such as waste management, spill prevention and marine protection. Gas Detection, Awareness & monitoring: Maintenance and calibration of detectors. Toxic gas such as CH4, H2S at work site. Implementation of of safety procedures to protect from the exposure to the toxic gas. Provide awareness and training on detectors, emergency procedures and equipment to mitigate the risks associated with toxic gas exposure.
