Primarily responsible for well control. Execution of Drilling Program as per clients’ requirements. Assists the Barge Master in stability calculations and weight distribution to minimize load and strain on the rig installation and equipment. Monitors performance of drilling operations to ensure they proceed safely, according to customer requirements, and in an optimally efficient manner. Verifies planned and preventative maintenance is performed for rig equipment, including safety and lifesaving equipment. Oversees all installations and modifications to the rig. Performs inspections, checking that equipment and facilities are well-maintained and that safe work procedures and practices are being followed. Reviews monthly inventory reports to ensure adequate supplies for the rig and crew. I was overseeing drilling package of the rig which included: 5 yearly inspections, draw works, El Mago brake, TDS, DSC, MRTs, travelling block, crown block, racking arm and finger board modifications, full mud system upgrade, valves, up-grading. While working in above positions, I was responsible for all drilling operations, making sure that everything is done according to safety procedures. I would oversee all planned and unplanned maintenance as well as order rig critical spares, monitor stock /ordering, and boat logistics. Also, I would take responsibility for well testing and installation of well testing equipment.
