Enforce strict compliance with mine safety rules, company HSE policies, and legal regulations. Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and toolbox talks. Ensure all incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts are reported, investigated, and corrective actions implemented. Promote a strong safety culture and zero-harm mindset. Ensure environmental controls are followed (waste management, spill prevention, dust suppression). Take full responsibility for daily drilling operations on site. Ensure drilling activities are executed according to project scope, contract requirements, and schedules. Act as the primary point of contact between the drilling company, client, and other contractors. Plan and coordinate crew shifts, equipment allocation, and work programs. Supervise and optimize drilling performance (ROP, penetration rates, hole quality). Ensure correct use of drilling parameters (WOB, RPM, air/mud pressure). Monitor drilling accuracy: hole depth, alignment, diameter, and collar positioning. Ensure correct drilling methods are applied (RC, diamond drilling, blast hole drilling, water well drilling).
