Controlling operations on the drill floor and supervising other staff involved in the drilling operations. Assembling drilling tools and connecting sections of the drill pipe. Keeping records of the drilling conditions and measurements and progress made. Overseas all drilling work practices and rig operations to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, performance criteria and mandatory rules and regulations. Ensures safe working and guides the drilling crew in rig moving operations. Ensures all necessary rig components, spare parts and tools are available. Manages and assists in setting up and operating rig equipment- draw works, power units and other drilling apparatus. Primarily responsible for well control. Execution of Drilling Program as per clients requirements. Assist Barge Master to minimize load and strain on rig installation.
