The supervisor ensures implementation and enforcement of HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices at the rig site. This includes conducting regular site inspections, audits, and safety tours to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and ensuring timely corrective actions. They lead risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and Permit to Work (PTW) systems to ensure tasks are properly planned and controlled. The HSE supervisor monitors drilling and workover activities to ensure compliance with approved programs, lifting plans, confined space entry procedures, and working-at-height requirements. They verify the availability and validity of third-party inspection and calibration certificates for safety-critical equipment such as lifting gears, pressure equipment, gas detectors, and fire-fighting systems. They are responsible for incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up, ensuring root causes are identified and preventive measures are implemented. The supervisor also maintains HSE records, reports, statistics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and submits regular reports to management and clients.
