In my current role as a Mud Logger, I am responsible for providing continuous wellsite monitoring, data acquisition, and reporting to support safe, efficient, and informed drilling operations. My primary responsibilities include real-time monitoring and recording of key drilling parameters such as ROP, WOB, RPM, SPP, and mud properties, along with identifying drilling events and operational anomalies. I conduct systematic drill cuttings sampling at regular intervals, perform washing and microscopic examination, and prepare accurate lithological descriptions to assist geological interpretation and drilling decision-making. I am actively involved in identifying and reporting hydrocarbon shows, gas trends, and abnormal pressure indicators to the drilling and geology teams in a timely manner. I ensure accuracy and consistency in data logging, generate daily mud logging reports, and maintain proper documentation throughout the drilling phase. Additionally, I operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mud logging sensors and surface equipment to ensure reliable data capture. Strict compliance with QHSE guidelines is a key aspect of my role, and I coordinate closely with rig personnel and service crews to maintain safety, operational efficiency, and effective communication at the wellsite.
