Lead and supervise the HSE team on drilling rigs and well sites, ensuring continuous safety coverage for drilling, workover, and well intervention activities. • Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and Life-Saving Rules in compliance with ISO 45001, API standards, and local regulatory requirements. • Conduct and review Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and SIMOPS plans for high-risk drilling operations including rig moves, lifting operations, hot work, confined space entry, and pressure testing. • Manage and control the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring proper authorization, isolation (LOTO), gas testing, and worksite readiness prior to task execution. • Lead incident, near-miss, and HIPO investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure implementation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions. • Monitor critical drilling safety activities such as well control, dropped objects prevention, lifting & hoisting, working at height, and hazardous energy isolation. • Develop, implement, and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP) for drilling sites, including coordination with emergency services and conducting regular emergency drills. • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training to rig crews, contractors, and third-party service providers. • Conduct routine HSE inspections, audits, and rig safety tours, identifying unsafe acts/conditions and enforcing Stop Work Authority when required. • Track, analyze, and report HSE KPIs (LTI, TRIR, Near Miss, DROPS, Unsafe Acts) and submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports to management. • Ensure availability, inspection, and proper use of PPE, firefighting equipment, gas detection systems, and lifesaving appliances. • Oversee contractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with company standards, drilling programs, and client requirements. • Promote a strong safety culture by engaging the workforce, leading by example, and driving continuous HSE improvement initiatives.
